Carl A. Sauter, III

A faithful son of Philadelphia, Carl Sauter passed on August 3, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving behind a legacy quietly built on duty, devotion, and love. 

Born on September 23, 1946, to Carl and Rose Sauter, he was raised in Philadelphia and graduated from Roxborough High School in 1964. 

He went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Army before building a steady and respected career in banking — work that represented his sense of integrity. 

Carl was a father. His sons, Carl IV and Andrew, were the true center of his heart, and his love for them was the thread woven through everything he did. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth; his parents; and his brother, Joseph Sauter. Their reunion is now complete in God's eternal peace. 

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 9:00 AM at Saint Matthias Church, 128 Bryn Mawr Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, Pa 19004, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. 

Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
