John C. "Jack" Kerwood

John C. “Jack” Kerwood, age 70, a lifelong resident of Roxborough, Philadelphia passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. He was born on May 1, 1956, the son of the late John A. Kerwood and Kathryn (Bennett) Kerwood.

Jack was a proud graduate of Roman Catholic High School, Class of 1974. He was a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Jack worked for the U.S. Postal Service starting in 1976. Jack’s family was the center of his life and he loved sharing time with them. He was a loving brother, uncle, great uncle and Godfather.

Jack is survived by his sister, Sue Viola; brother, Thomas (Nancy) Kerwood; sister, Patricia (David) White; and sister-in-law, Wendy Kerwood. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Kerwood; and two sisters, Kathryn Rippert and Marianne Kerwood.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation in Church on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church, 819 E. Cathedral Road, Philadelphia, PA 19128.

Interment will take place at Westminster Cemetery in Bala Cynwyd, PA.
