John R. Pindynski, Jr.

John R. Pindynski, Jr., age 74, of Ocean City, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 surrounded by his wife and children.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 1, 1951, the son of the late John R. Pindynski, Sr. and the late Dorothy (Milewski) Pindynski.

John was a longtime resident of Roxborough before moving to Ocean City, NJ, where he has resided for the past 25 years. He was a parishioner of St. Damian Church of Ocean City and former parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church in Manayunk. He worked as a Recreation Director for the City of Philadelphia and following his retirement, managed the Sunoco Station in Ocean City. He enjoyed swimming and riding his bike. 

John was the beloved husband of Sharon A. Pindynski (née Weber). He was looking forward to celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary in June of 2026. 

Along with his wife Sharon, John is survived by two daughters, Julie (Clyde) Parsons and Amy (Kevin) Duffy; son, John R. (Nicole) Pindynski, III; and six grandchildren, Shay, Owen, John IV, Nicolas, Brooke and Kaitlyn. 

His Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Baptist RC Church, 119 Rector Street, Philadelphia, PA 19127.

Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Sunday afternoon, May 3, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at McIlvaine Mundy Funeral Home & Crematory, 7384 Ridge Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19128; and on Monday morning, May 4 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Church prior to Mass.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Roman Catholic High School, 301 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19107.
