Mary Rose Campbell, age 57, of Philadelphia, PA passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 28, 1969 to Mary (Duffy) Campbell and the late John Campbell.
Affectionately known by her childhood friends as "Mimi", Mary lived most of her life in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. She was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist RC Church of Manayunk. Mary attended Carnegie Mellon University, where she earned degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. She went on to earn an additional Master's Degree in Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance from Temple University. Mary then attended the University of Richmond where she earned her Juris Doctor Degree. She was admitted to the U.S. Patent Bar and practiced Pharmaceutical Law, most recently with Morgan Lewis.
Mary was exceptionally intelligent, a true trivia buff and quiz creator, and appeared on Jeopardy. She was an avid reader of historical biographies and mystery fiction, and was a devoted Philadelphia Phillies fan. She was a talented knitter. She was a dedicated supporter of The Wardrobe in Philadelphia.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Campbell of Philadelphia, PA; as well as many cousins including Alexis and Alma Radocaj.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026 at 11:00 AM in Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church, 819 Cathedral Road, Philadelphia, PA 19128. The Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Jordan Kelly, O.P.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Thursday evening, September 24 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McIlvaine Mundy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 7384 Ridge Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19128 and on Friday morning, September 25 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church prior to Mass.
Interment will take place in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA.
In lieu of flowers, Mary requested memorial contributions made to charities which supported causes close to her heart: The Wardrobe Philly, Philabundance, or the Free Library Foundation.
