Maureen F. Burrows

Maureen F. Burrows, age 81, of Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 23, 1944, the daughter of the late James Edward Hart (born Harte) and Celia (Sheridan) Hart.

Maureen has been living in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia for 30 years, formerly of Malvern, PA. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church.

She is survived by her son, Brendan J. Burrows of Philadelphia; her daughter, Moira K. Jones of Chatham, NJ; and her seven grandchildren, Anna, Oliver, Charlotte, Daisy, Alexandra, Elizabeth, and Henry.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sheila Ann McCullough. 

Her Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Sacred Heart Chapel at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (located behind rectory), 819 Cathedral Road, Philadelphia, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM in the Chapel. 

Interment will take place in Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospital for Children.
