Dr. Pascal E. Scoles, Jr.

Dr. Pascal E. Scoles, Jr., “Pat”, age 84, of Lafayette Hill, PA passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026.

He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 12, 1942, the son of the late Pascal J. and Viola (Boccuto) Scoles.

Pat has been living in Lafayette Hill for 13 years, formerly of Plymouth Meeting and the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. He was a Professor of Behavioral Sciences for 58 years at the Community College of Philadelphia. He served on the Mayor’s Commission on Drugs and Alcohol for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joanne Scoles (née Ferrarelli) of Lafayette Hill; two sons, Pascal (Sara) Scoles of Collegeville, PA and Andrew (Megan) Scoles of Abington, PA; daughter, Emily Anne Scoles of Honolulu, HI; and six grandchildren, Rasmus, Sterling, Scarlett, Luca, Nico and Lorenzo.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Scoles.

His Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the McIlvaine Mundy Funeral Home & Crematory, 7384 Ridge Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19128.

Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home prior to the service.

Interment will be private.
