Paul R. Hoppel

Paul R. Hoppel, age 76, of Philadelphia, PA passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026.

Born on August 30, 1949, Paul was a lifelong resident of the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. After graduating from Roxborough High School, Paul honorably served in the U.S. Navy. He then gave many years of service to the Philadelphia Police Department before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Ethel (Prager) Hoppel; and wife, Maria C. (Esposito) Hoppel.

He is survived by his daughter, Angela McIntyre of Reading; son, Adrian (Angela) Hoppel of Roxborough; daughter, Alia (Jason) Thompson of Roxborough; brother, David (Diann) Hoppel of Arizona; sister, Janine Taylor of Roxborough; 11 grandchildren, Holly, Kayla, Sarah, Anna, Mia, Leif, Julien, Sean, Lila, Benjamin and Stella; and one great-granddaughter, Harper.

Family and friends are invited to attend a service and interment at a future date at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
