Regina H. Delaney

Regina H. Delaney, 87, of Flourtown, died on April 5, 2026. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Regina (McHugh) Delaney. Regina was a former member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Chestnut Hill and later became a member of the SSJ Associates in Mission. She devoted her life to the field of education, primarily teaching Montessori to three-to-six-year-olds. Regina served as the Director of Greene Towne Montessori School in Philadelphia for 21 years. She was a beloved teacher until her retirement in 2018 from Norwood-Fontbonne Academy in Chestnut Hill.

Regina delighted in all things Irish: Irish music, her countless trips exploring the countryside of Ireland, especially the towns of Westport and Dingle, Celtic spirituality, and her love of sheep.

She also found great pleasure in her cherished Yorkies: Tara, Molly, and Maggie Ann.

Regina was predeceased by her two older brothers, Joseph J. and Francis M. (Frank) Delaney.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM at St. Genevieve's Church, 1225 Bethlehem Pike in Flourtown, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery and scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to alz.org in Regina's memory. Gratitude is extended to the doctors and staff at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital and Crossroads Hospice, for their loving care for Regina.
