Veronica E. Frye

Veronica E. Frye, age 86, of Philadelphia, PA passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

She was born in St. Mary, Jamaica on April 21, 1940, the daughter of the late Reuben and Miriam (Nesbeth) Thompson.

After immigrating to the United States, Veronica settled in Rye, NY. She lived in Rye until moving to the Mount Airy section of Philadelphia in 1989. She was a true caregiver at heart, working as a Nurse and later as a Nanny. She was a true people person who loved to cook for others and entertain. She was a faithful member of True Light Fellowship Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Robert) Singh of Lafayette Hill, PA; one sister and two brothers. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Brian Singh, Kevin Singh and Philip (Pooja) Singh.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 11:00 am at the True Light Fellowship Church, 6400 Ardleigh St, Philadelphia, PA 19119. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Friday morning from to 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Church prior to the service.

Interment will take place in Laurel Hill West Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd.
